 Well, I can’t promise you anything, but I can give you a chance to have fast Internet speed.   There are actually two ways to do that; to continue, however, a little explanation is necessary:

So you bought a Globe Tattoo, buying into the hype that it promises faster than DSL speeds?  Were you enticed by the cosplayer Alodia, or the appeal of next-gen technology?   Did you then, in all excitement, insert your Globe Tattoo, install the software, access the Internet, and cruise in Dial-up speeds?

Well, I can’t promise you anything, but I can give you a chance to have fast Internet speed.   There are actually two ways to do that; to continue, however, a little explanation is necessary:

Globe uses several channels: GPRS, EDGE, 3G and HSDPA.   The only channel that’s important for you right now is HSDPA.  That’s the one that lets you surf at 1 mbps or more.    The rest are Kbps speeds.   My solutions will try to give you that HSDPA channel.   Beyond that, I can’t promise you anything.

The first solution: Change the channel.

Sometimes the problem isn’t so much that it’s at a slow speed, as it is at the wrong channel.   That is because Globe Tattoo usually sets the channel to the strongest signal.   Commonly, that is the EDGE signal or (*shudder*) GPRS.    You want the 3G (next to best) or the HSDPA channel.
