Any fan of action movies would not fail to look for the classic set-ups: the lone wolf, the man out for revenge, the dynamic duo, or the commando team.   And having watched, read or digested the various action genres, the fan would imagine “cross-over showdowns” between icons of the different action worlds.   A samurai against a knight.   A Cylon against a Terminator.   A Predator against an Alien (or, for that matter, Aliens).
